-
Yes. You don’t have to wait for someone else to change before you begin healing. You can learn how to set healthier limits, stop overextending yourself, manage stress, and get clearer about what you need.
-
Absolutely. Many people don’t realize how much their childhood still affects them today.
This can look like difficulty trusting, always feeling “on alert,” trying to keep the peace, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions. We work on understanding these patterns and finding healthier ways to feel safe and connected.

Yes. These issues often show up when someone has lived with addiction — either their own or a family member’s. We work on the deeper causes so you can feel more grounded and confident.

Instead of only teaching coping skills, I help you understand where the pain, patterns, or reactions are coming from so you can make real, lasting changes. This often means looking at stress, past experiences, and the ways you learned to protect yourself.
-
Yes. I work with people who are struggling with addiction, people in recovery, and anyone who loves someone with an addiction. I also support adults who grew up in homes where addiction or chaos was present. The focus is on understanding what’s underneath the struggle, not just the habits on the surface.
-
I have completed basic EMDR training and Advanced EMDR training. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a method that helps people process painful memories or experiences that still affect them today. It can be helpful for triggers, cravings, or emotional reactions that feel “bigger” than the situation.
I am currently in the process of completing full certification through EMDRIA.

While 12-step programs provide community, connection, and support, my work looks at the root cause. The pain, trauma, and emotional patterns driving the behavior. Addiction is not a character flaw or moral failure. I see it as a coping strategy that once helped you survive, but now causes harm.
If you are in a 12-step program our work can support you alongside that.
I help you understand why the pattern exists, how to work through it, and how to create real, lasting change — even if you’re not ready to quit entirely.
-
12-step is structured around strict abstinence, a sponsor system, and shared accountability within a defined program.
While it is helpful to many people, I am able to offer different support as a licensed counselor with training in addiction and trauma.
My groups are trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and allow you to set the pace of your recovery.
This space welcomes people at all stages of recovery, including those exploring harm reduction or trying to rebuild self-trust after relapse.
-
My groups have structure and support, but they don’t follow the 12-steps. I meet you where you are and build from there.
You have choice and agency in how you want your life and relationships to look. Together, we focus on understanding what’s happening, creating healthy boundaries, and finding peace regardless of what your loved one chooses to do.
