Rebuild your life with support that meets you exactly where you are.

Paige Fulton, LPCC, LCADC, LCPC

I’m a trauma-informed addiction therapist helping you heal the root of your pain and struggle. Not just the habit. I offer individual therapy and support groups to residents in California and Maryland. I support both people struggling with addiction and loved ones of individuals struggling with addiction.

You’ve Tried Everything and Still Feel Stuck

Maybe you’ve gone to meetings, made promises, or tried to manage things on your own. Maybe you’ve watched someone you love do the same. You wonder why lasting change feels so hard.

Addiction isn’t just about a substance or behavior. It’s about what lies underneath. The pain, pressure, and old stories that taught you to numb, push through, or hold it all together for everyone else.

  • You're exhausted from pretending it’s fine or trying to keep everything from falling apart.

  • You’ve done your best to manage, but deep down, you know something needs to shift — not just on the surface, but at the root.

  • You may have found support in traditional recovery programs, but you recognize something deeper still needs attention.

That is where I come in. I believe true healing happens when we look beneath the surface at the trauma, emotions, and beliefs that fuel the cycle.

Together, we won’t just manage behavior. We’ll explore what it’s been protecting you from. Our work can complement the structure and community of programs like the 12-steps, by offering space for deeper emotional and self-understanding.

My Approach

I use a trauma-informed approach and EMDR therapy to help your mind and body release what’s been holding you back. Together, we’ll look at the full picture — your emotions, relationships, history, and current stressors.

Practical

Compassionate

I see relapse not as failure, but as information about what still needs care.

Deep

I focus on the why behind the behavior, not just how to stop it.

When you learn to listen with compassion instead of judgment, change stops feeling like punishment and starts feeling like peace.

How I Work

Therapy with me is down-to-earth and collaborative.

We’ll slow things down enough to see the story and pain beneath the behavior, not just what’s visible on the surface.

Then we’ll build from there — with honesty, compassion, and small steps that make sense for your life.

You can expect:

  • A calm, judgment-free space where you can breathe.

  • Clarity about what’s keeping you stuck and what’s driving your behavior.

  • Simple tools and boundaries that help you feel steadier day to day.

  • A therapeutic relationship built on compassion and trust — where you don’t have to hide the hard parts.

The goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to help you build a healthier relationship with yourself, your loved ones, and with addiction. One that’s grounded in truth and compassion, not shame.
